The joint exhibition of Miia Kallio and Otto Santala, "Obstacles" in Gallery Laterna Magica's Cellar and Tile Galleries consists of ceramic sculptures, oil paintings, and video works. Kallio is a visual and ceramic artist, focusing on the use of Finnish red clay, or "wild clay" in her work. Ari Jaskari (b,1958) is known for his photos depicting the Saimaa lake district and the people on its shores. His photography exhibition and book Oma koti - Sweet home are based on material that Jaskari photographed in his home town Anttola in the early 1980's. The photographs offer intimate glimpses into Jaskari's family life and community, everyday life.

Risto Moberg's andd Jaru Alponpoika Kokkinen's significant collection of erotic art will be exhibited in the galleries of Laterna Magica in early February 2023. Moments at the Cemetery Hetkiä hautausmaalla -exhibition consists of photographs and a video that was filmed with a pinhole camera at the Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki. Professor Antero Takala (b. 1939) is a photographic artist who lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. He has held numerous private exhibitions since 1966 around the world, showing landscapes, portraits and experimental photography. Welcome to the exhibition opening on Tuesday October 25th from 5-7 PM. "This exhibition presents lace paintings and weavings with natural materials that pay homage to the lakes and the natural world. The works describe the life in lakes in different seasons. My relationship with lakes and nature is mystical. Crocheting connects me to the women in my family and is for me one of the everyday rituals in a woman's life."

Pertti Nisonen is known for his portrait photographs. Kansalaisia-Citizens exhibition and book that will be launched in the exhibition opening consists of his black and white portraits from 1979-2021. Photojournalist Timo Kirves (1939-2021) worked as a photographer for over 60 years. He is best remembered for his photographs of people. In his last years he was enchanted by Havanna and travelled there three times to photograph. The exhibition and book Havanna Mix were finalized by his nephew, Antti Kirves who will be present at the gallery on Sat October 22nd from 1-3 PM.

Myötäreaktio ("Co-reaction") is a multidisciplinary exhibition by stage designer Salli Kari and art educator Susanna Kaulanen. It explores unknown feelings; those areas of traumatic experiences that are suppressed and difficult perceive. The exhibition combines paintings, poetry, installation and sound. Siimes - Majatuksia -exhibition presents photography by Liisa Takala from 2020-2022. The main focus is on tree houses and playhuts and structures that were constructed by children. Meet the Artist at the gallery on Saturday October 1st from 1-3 PM.

Classics and rarities from old Japan. This exhibition offers an intriguing glimpse into Edo-Meiji era and its lively publishing trade and woodcut prints. There will be works by well-known artists such as Hiroshige and Hokusai and senjafuda-woodcuts with themes related to pilgrimages . The exhibition is organized by Eye on Art Team together with Kyoto Paradise Book Art Gallery.

Exhibition opening on Night of the Arts August 18th from 5-7 PM. This exhibition combines works by mother and son, Ukrainian Julia and Daniil Nemirovskaja separated by the ongoing war. Julia Nemirovskaja escaped to Helsinki last spring after Russia attacked her home country Ukraine. With her was the youngest child in the family while the rest of the family stayed in Kyiv.
