Ismo Hölttö

A City of Signs, photography

Ismo Hölttö, known for his perceptive black-and-white portraits of the 1960s depicting the everyday lives of city folks and country people, unexpectedly returned to photography in the spring of 2023, and his new subject was something completely different. When walking around the city, Hölttö's gaze was now fixed on electrical cabinets, drainpipes and the surfaces of lamp posts instead of people. The opening of the exhibition will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. A warm welcome!
