Susan Sontag wrote these words in her book On Photography in 1977. I do not think she could have imagined what mobile devices have done to photography. We live in an era where pictures have long surpassed sex ands dance as amusement and photographs are everywhere in instagrams, snaps, live and other forms.
Laterna Magica was established as a antiquarian bookstore and gallery specializing in both photography and movies. Our book collection has a wide variety of tecnhical books as well as art books from well known photographers. Finnish photography and photo journalism is also central to our collection.
