Exhibition opening on Tuesday February 20th from 5-7 PM. Warm welcome!
The photo series Street Signals examines the signs left by human activity in the urban space. Everything we do changes our environment, and over time, the traces we leave behind begin to tell us about our habits, habits, and customs in subtle clues.
Street Signals is a collection of traces, marks and patterns that people leave behind in the urban environment – photographs that balance between the representational and the abstract. They offer a fascinating window into human activity, turning our everyday actions into rituals and the traces we leave on the environment into art.
Joska Pyykkö has been photographing since 1996 both as a freelancer and on his own artistic projects. Street Signals is his first exhibition. He has been working on the series since 2016 in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Germany and Iceland.
