Photography for me is a medium to reflect on personal experiences of sorrow and loss, which are present in all of our lives. Even more so in these uncertain times and thus this theme felt even more topical.

The photographs in this exhibition reflect my thoughts and experiences in the past 10 years. At first I thought this project might be only for myself but maybe by sharing these works I can share something of myself and reach into the viewers' experience, the space between.

My mind captures me, crawls and turns inwards

I am the prisoner of my thoughts and I can not find the way out, or in.

This time with my own thoughts in the space between gives me the means to get out,

The discussion with myself leads into stillness.

An inner peace is born; a way into a new worls.

Freedom from inner shackles and fears requires the acceptance of my own truth, and my own vulnerability.

And bravery to once again expose myself to the uncertainty of this world.
