Jonas Metsäkylä is a jazz guitarist from Helsinki who, in addition to the bands he leads, Jonas Metsäkylä Trio and Skogby Quintet, is known as a solo guitarist and for his work with Chuck Israels last spring. Jonas studies at the Sibelius Academy's jazz department.

He has studied the solo guitar tradition and made his own synthesis of it with his lead stars guitarist Joe Pass on his "Virtuoso" albums and underground guitar legend Ted Greene.
