Drink&Collage is an evening where you get to know the world of collage art by making it yourself. In our summer workshop we have a special guest with us: artist Petra Giacomelli, whose exhibition Heinäkuun yö - July Night in Laterna Magica's cellar galleries consists of collage paintings on paper and canvas, artist books, beeswax sculptures and a musical videowork. We get to hear about her work methods before the start of the workshop.

Collage is an inspiring and free form technique where materials are assembled on a base forming an artwork. The name comes from the French verb coller (to glue) and the technique was born among the Cubist movement in early 20th century. In our workshop we'll utilize the unique paper materials saved from Laterna Magica's storage.

Participants' fee 35 € to be paid at the gallery at the start of the workshop.

You can bring drinks of your choice to enjoy while making collages. Workshop lasts around 2,5 h.

Reservation is binding. Only cancel in case of illness. Please let me know asap if you need to cancel as we have very few places and workshops are popular. There is often a waiting list.
